Daniel Neal
Born and raised in Calaveras County, California, Daniel has always been drawn to helping others. He attended both UC Santa Barbara and UC Santa Cruz, where he began working in the field of developmental disabilities. He graduated with a psychology degree and worked with Easterseals, spending two years providing one-on-one support to a child with autism, an experience he found deeply rewarding. Daniel later moved to Marin to be closer to family, where he quickly grew to love the Fairfax area.
Daniel’s introduction to working with individuals with disabilities began early. Encouraged by his mother, who worked to normalize these relationships, he started fostering connections in middle school. His passion for this field continued into adulthood, leading him to join PDS when he moved to Marin. For Daniel, this work is more than just a job—it’s fulfilling and deeply rooted in his desire to help those who need it most, a value instilled in him by his mother.
At PDS, Daniel thrives on spending quality time with clients, whether it's taking them out into the community for hikes, movies, or job coaching. He loves helping people live their fullest lives and finds joy in making a positive impact. He particularly values the sense of camaraderie and family that PDS fosters, appreciating the supportive, loving environment created by the team.

When asked what he wishes people knew about adults with disabilities, Daniel says, “They’re just like everyone else. They’re thoughtful, have strong feelings and emotions, and inspiring.
